We are heading off to Wired Sussex: Talent 2018, so we thought it was about time we caught up with our Talent Manager, Briony Robertson and Head of People, Emma Meeking to find out exactly what they’re looking for when hiring.

The search is on for roles across our Group, so let’s get some perspective.  There are 150 of us Natives, across six offices, in over four different continents, working across eight different brands.  So what makes a great match?

We asked Briony and Emma exactly what it takes to be a Native and here’s what they had to say.

When hiring we look for 5 key things:

  • And sociability

Ok, so let’s break this down…

At Natives, we are committed to the development of our Natives and we encourage personal development throughout the business which is why eagerness to learn is so critical.  There are always lots of new developments in the Marketing industry, so being ready and eager to learn all about industry developments is key.

Being passionate about what you do is a given, but true excitement for what you do shines even brighter.  Want to understand what we mean? Moving easily into creativity.  We don’t expect you to be the next Van Gogh, but do you think outside of the box? At Natives Group we are pioneering and we endeavour to set the direction, we are not just early adopters. Here’s a quick catch up with our Creative Director.

Are you dedicated…really? Well, it’s a very important aspect of any Native’s personality.  It all boils down to our mantra that is to be happy…but never satisfied, embrace change and to give a s**t – about our clients, our work and each other.

Last but not least, we love a social.  Whether it’s speed networking, team nights out or Fizz Fridays, we love a get together (it would be wrong if we didn’t have a beer fridge in the office)!
